MasterFix Appliance Repair

Element and igniter work is about an hour. Board and lock jobs run longer.

Crosley oven repair

Crosley appliances are built by Whirlpool and Electrolux under a separate badge, so the parts and diagnostics follow those platforms.

Complete no-heat failures split cleanly by fuel. Electric ovens lose the bake or broil element, which usually shows a visible break or blister. Gas ovens lose the igniter, which glows but no longer draws enough current to open the safety valve.

Oven repair symptoms on a Crosley

These are the oven faults we see on every brand. The Crosley-specific ones are listed underneath.

  • Oven will not heat at all

Bake element on electric, igniter on gas. Both are stocked parts and same-visit repairs.

  • Food burns or comes out underdone

The temperature sensor has drifted. We measure the actual cavity temperature against the setpoint before replacing anything.

  • Door is locked after a cleaning cycle

The door lock motor or its switch has failed while hot. Common on every brand that offers self-clean.

  • Display shows an error code

Codes map to a sensor, a relay or the board itself. Have the code ready when you book.

  • Broiler works but bake does not

That points squarely at the bake element or its relay, since the two circuits are separate.

  • Oven turns itself off mid-cook

Thermal cutoff, cooling fan failure, or a control board overheating behind the panel.

What tends to fail on Crosley

  • Washer drive couplers
  • Dryer belts
  • Refrigerator defrost systems
  • Range elements

  • Tim was very professional and did his job correctly but was sent a defective part. Ramin came and replaced the defective part and my stove works again. After an initial problem that wasn't their fault, masterfix did an excellent job. I would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks Tim and Ramin!

Questions we get asked

What goes wrong with Crosley ovens?
Washer drive couplers is the fault we attend most on this combination. Crosley appliances are built by Whirlpool and Electrolux under a separate badge, so the parts and diagnostics follow those platforms.
My oven bakes unevenly. Is that repairable?
Usually. It is either a drifting sensor, a failing convection fan, or a door that no longer seals because the hinges have sagged. All three are fixable.
Is the self-cleaning cycle bad for the oven?
It is hard on the electronics. If you use it, run it when you have time to deal with a failure afterwards, and never right before a holiday you are cooking for.
Do you work on double wall ovens?
Yes. They need pulling from the cabinet, which is a two-person lift on most models, so we schedule accordingly.
Do you carry Crosley parts for this?
We stock the common failures listed on this page. Anything model specific is ordered after the diagnosis, and we tell you the wait before you commit. Every part carries 90 days of warranty.
