- How often should hood filters be cleaned?
- Metal mesh and baffle filters go in the dishwasher every month or two under normal cooking. Charcoal filters in recirculating hoods are not washable and need replacing.
- My hood is loud but moves less air than it used to.
- That combination is nearly always grease on the blower wheel. Cleaning it restores both the airflow and the noise level.
- Can a recirculating hood be converted to vent outside?
- Sometimes, if there is a practical duct route. It is more of a carpentry question than an appliance one, and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth it.
- Do you service remote and in-line blowers?
- Yes, including attic and exterior-mounted blowers used with professional hoods.
